How do I make a resume step by step?
Gather your history somewhere plain first, pick a simple template, write your most recent role in full, then work backwards with fewer bullets per older job. Write the summary last, fit the page, and check the exported text still selects and copies. Our step-by-step build guide covers the order in detail.
How long does it take to build a resume?
About twenty minutes from an uploaded resume, or under an hour from scratch. Most of the time people lose goes on formatting and switching between the template and the wording, which is the part a builder removes.
Do I need an existing resume to start?
No. You can answer a short set of prompts about what you have done and where you are heading. It is built for people writing a first resume, changing careers, or starting again after a gap.
What happens after the resume is built?

How do I tailor my resume to each job?
